The Start of Jared Beckstrand Art

Hello All!
Welcome to Jared Beckstrand Art. If you are interested in traditional style artwork to impress your friends, you're reading the wrong blog. My name is Jaden Beckstrand and Jared is my father. For those unfamiliar with Jared Beckstrand Art and where it all began, I'd like to formally introduce you. As a child, I grew up in Southern California near the Disney Animation Studios in a small town, Moorpark, CA. As many of you know, my father began working for Disney in 1994; the same year I was born! Jared began living his dream, animating for multiple Disney Motion Pictures including: Tarzan, Pocahontas, Hercules, Chicken Little, Princess and the Frog, Treasure Planet, and Hunchback of Notre Dame. A few of his favorite characters to draw include: Jane from Tarzan, Meg from Hercules, Esmeralda from Hunchback, and Charlotte from Princess and the Frog. I can still remember watching these movies in the theaters as a young boy, and I still laugh how I thought it was completely normal for my family and friends to wait for "Jared Beckstrand" to show in the credits and cheer. Of course we were always the last ones to leave the theater, and the employees often wondered what we were even cheering about! I have always been amazed with the ability my father has to relate his artwork to children. There is a reason he still animates for the Friend magazine, and that he was recently contacted by Janice Kapp Perry to illustrate her song books for children. She even said she had looked for many artists, and no other artist was able to capture her vision that would relate to the children. I believe that his experience at Disney has polished his drawing skills and enabled him to draw the way he does today. After returning from my mission, I fell in love with a beautiful girl while studying at BYU. I only had one problem, not enough money to purchase her a wedding ring. I have always loved the beautiful pictures my father has drawn, and I had the idea to start selling them to raise money for a wedding ring. I began going door to door in Provo, UT with many of his original prints. I was overjoyed when I realized that people loved them as much as I did, and I loved seeing how the little children reacted to the pictures. There is a peace and comfort found in each image, and we found that his artwork is ideal for a child's bedroom. We were overjoyed when we discovered that children really did find happiness in the artwork. I appreciate you taking the time to read this post to learn a little more about Jared Beckstrand Art. One of our most popular prints is titled "Christ with Children", and I will attach it below for those who haven't seen it. Have an amazing week, and I hope you're getting ready for Valentine's Day!
